Another post detailing what I played the previous week.

Metroid: Other M (Wii)

I hate this game.  I recorded the game footage for the review.  But now I'm so sick of the game I don't want to see it for another month.  So here is the cliff notes of my review:

• Adam is an asshole
• Anthony Higgs is awesome and will probably be getting an apperance in the next Smash Bros.
• Samus donated the last metroid to Science at the beginning of Super Metroid, her grief doesn't make sense.
• Samus' naming schemes are really stupid, and extremely generic. (The Baby, The Deleter)
• The plot is a horrible fanfiction.
• Pixel hunts suck.
• I think this Samus is a clone, and all memories are fabricated, and that isn't the real Adam.
• I swear Ridley is now a Pokémon.
• On that note, the Other M should have been MissingNo.!
• Things wrong with the Ridley Cutscene:

1. Samus is in a cloning facility.  This was a major plot point before hand.
2. Samus saw a giant purple shed skin in the room before.
3. Not counting prime games, Samus has killed him twice before.
4. If you count the prime games that's 3 more times Samus has blasted Ridley's brains in.
5. At this point in the Metroid continuity, Samus has encountered him 12 times before.  And has never reacted before.  
6. In Super and Prime 1, she believed Ridley was dead, but they appeared out of nowhere and there was no reactions.
7. Also if you count the prime games, Samus knows Ridley has been cloned before.
8. Samus has a Pokedex installed in her visor, she should have scanned the white creature the first time she saw it.
9. If Ridley killed Samus' parents in front of her, I'm pretty sure she would remember any defining characteristics.   Purple skin, pointy tail, everything everything else that chicken lizard thing had earlier in the game.
10. Samus' dialogue called Ridley her Reoccurring Nemesis at the start of the game.
11. Going by the line "Ridley it can't be" Samus somehow thought that there was only one ridley in the entire universe and there might not even be an entire species of them.
12. The Manga isn't canon, it was an adaptation meant to advertise Metroid Zero Mission in japan.  Anyone who says that this makes sense if you read the manga obviously hasn't.

Yeah, I said it, the Manga isn't canon.  It took 18 years from the original game launching before this personality appeared anywhere.

999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (DS)

I got to the axe ending and am now playing through again.  Doing different puzzles this time, and I'll get a different one of the six endings.

Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii)

I just did a few quick matches to pass the time.

Sin and Punishment: Successor to the Earth (Wii/Virtual Console/Nintendo 64)

I'm going to review this.  Even if I've played it and beat it before, I want to review it.  I've got the footage recorded so now it's just finishing the script and recording it and editing it all together.

Megaman Zero Collection (DS)

I just started playing it.  So, yeah... Not really much to comment on.  I never played the originals on the GameBoy Advanced.

Steel Diver (3DS):

I played through a few levels to get a few decals.  It's interesting, and I think I'll play a bit more this week. 

I wonder if the one captain, Ben Triton, has any relation to Luke Triton from the Professor Layton games.
